Bringing Atkins Dellow services to another town centre
If you’ve been in Sudbury you may have noticed our most recent office and meeting centre opening at 2 Friars Street.
Despite the tendency for shops to close on local high streets we’re looking for more locations to bring our services to town centres. Covid-19 regulations permitting we look forward to meeting you there.
We were in the throes of decorating and fitting out the offices when the Covid-19 pandemic took hold and the first lockdown was enforced. Since then we’ve completed the refurbishment and we’re delighted with the result. The space gives us more seats and room for some of us to mix time spent working from home with time spent in an office. The competition to book a seat in Sudbury is so fierce we’re having to refurbish our Bury St Edmunds office to bring it up to the same standard; and look for more locations as we expand.
A thriving market town
Sudbury is a thriving market town with lots of historic interest and some great places to eat and drink. Long Melford and Lavenham are among many other lovely villages and beautiful countryside surrounding the town and along the Stour Valley. Set on the River Stour, this is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has long been associated with the weaving and silk industries. Whichever direction you’re travelling in to or from the town there are some fabulous views across some of the most glorious countryside East Anglia has to offer.
Gainsborough House, birthplace of Thomas Gainsborough, is open to the public and has been converted to a museum and gallery. Gainsborough’s work was often inspired by the local countryside, as was John Constable. The River Stour features in many of Constables’ paintings.
We’ve found that opening our offices on Saturdays has proven very useful to new and existing clients alike as it’s often a convenient day to pop in if you need to.
